Axios works with clients in three broad verticals:

ethanol and other gasoline substitutes
biodiesel and other diesel substitutes
biomass for stationary power

Among other specialty uses, biomass pellets can be used as a solid fuel for stationary power and/or steam generation. Many varieties of biomass pellets are used in home heating stoves, but they generally cannot be used in small-scale traditional boilers.  At larger scales, they can be co-fired with coal after moderate equipment modification. It is difficult to accurately estimate world production of biomass pellets, as potential biomass sources are many and varied.
